Yesterday was a pretty bad day.
First of all, my parents have hired these builders to re-construct the driveway from the concrete mess it's been for over 20 years to something much newer. As I'm pretty much stuck indoors all day anyway, this doesn't bother me too much. What does bother me is that they start breaking up cement with those huge drills from construction sites just after 7:30 am. And considering I'm partially nocturnal, going to sleep anytime after 2am, this really isn't working for me -_-
Second, I got woken up the only day they weren't attacking the concrete by my Mum, who'd decided to work at home yesterday, shouting at me to come downstairs because my cat had collapsed. He's been ill for a while now, but since I've been at Uni I haven't had a chance to see much of him, and when I did he seemed absolutely fine. His lungs are giving him breathing trouble which is therefore leading to heart trouble, and he's been given all these pills to take. He collapsed again not long after that, so we had to keep an eye on him for the rest of the day. He was fine after that, but I've been so paranoid about him that I keep going into the garden to check on him. I'm alone at home today with him, so if anything happens, I'm stuck here...
And lastly, the thing that probably depressed me the most was reading yet another Cecelia Ahern book! Curse that women and her talent!!

I bought 'If you could see me now' thinking that it sounded like a really nice plot, and since I read ' PS: I love you' back in January and I really enjoyed it (despite the sadness of the whole thing) I thought I'd give it a try.
TT___TT
It was sooooooo sad! D: I managed to read it throughout the day and finally finished it at around 2am, bawling my eyes out. Sad endings always get to me, especially when they're set in reality settings. Which is probably why I try to read so much fantasy. But Cecelia Ahern is such a good writer, and her stories are so touching it couldn't be helped. Curse her and her tragedies!!
Anyway, that was the long way of mentioning that I probably won't have any art up for a bit. Babysitting my cat, not getting enough sleep and reading depressing books isn't helping my creative juices. Some more Mortal Instruments art is likely to turn up eventually, and I have an art trade with Gosen-chan to do, plus my Summer Animation project and probably a million other things. Le sigh.
Wish me luck
